Point

Invalid input withholds normalized output

Only a complete valid resolved result can expose the normalized Atlas model; invalid and incomplete states fail closed.

A validator reports completeness separately from validity. A complete invalid result can provide deterministic diagnostics, while an incomplete result says that processing or the requested profile could not establish an outcome. Neither state includes normalized output.

This gate prevents downstream consumers from treating a partial Point group, unresolved relation, unchecked target, or failed filesystem inspection as a coherent Atlas. The command-line contract also distinguishes invalid data from invalid usage or incomplete processing so automation can fail closed for the correct reason.

Read the state

Posture describes the author's stance: asserted means presented as applicable or believed; open, unresolved; proposed, a candidate; intended, a desired or selected future state.

Lifecycle describes standing: active means current context; historical, retained prior context; superseded, replaced by another Point; withdrawn, retracted.

Asserted does not mean verified. Intended does not mean implemented. Source links provide material to assess these claims.
