Point

The anchor establishes the canonical core

One anchor states the canonical idea and defines Point identity, primary Map, title, kinds, posture, lifecycle, relations, and review state.

Every Point has exactly one anchor record. Its containing Map establishes provenance. Its summary states the canonical idea; its fields carry the shared state and relations. Additional explanation can live in an optional body without repeating the summary.

A summary-only anchor is valid when the required fields are present. An authored body must contain a substantive block; headings alone do not qualify. A project can adopt a Check requiring fuller prose. Neither body presence nor length proves semantic quality.

Canonical provenance does not create exclusive ownership. Another Map can explain the same item's significance without redefining anchor-only fields. Independently changing claims instead receive separate identities.

State and relationsPosture, lifecycle, review, and outgoing relations live only on the anchor so state cannot diverge across contexts.

Missing links do not mean that no relationship exists.

Read the state

Posture describes the author's stance: asserted means presented as applicable or believed; open, unresolved; proposed, a candidate; intended, a desired or selected future state.

Lifecycle describes standing: active means current context; historical, retained prior context; superseded, replaced by another Point; withdrawn, retracted.

Asserted does not mean verified. Intended does not mean implemented. Source links provide material to assess these claims.
